Who is Tromp-Rail?

Tromp-rail Bv is an independent assessment and consulting organisation. Founded in February 2016 by Johan Tromp.

Johan Tromp has gained extensive knowledge and experience within the railway world in the field of all subsystems of the rolling stock and in recent years also in parts of the infrastructure.

Admission according to Loc & Pass

Contributed as senior assessor to the drafting of the authorisation and testing of the locomotive MAXIMA 30 and 40. As certification manager and test manager contributed to the admission and testing of Alstom ILint (test in Groningen and Coradia stream in the Netherlands and Belgium.

ERTMS Pilot Amsterdam Utrecht

Contributed as an ERTMS expert to the ERTMS pilot project Amsterdam Utrecht Responsible for writing the guideline for train drivers. Researching and testing the operational procedures. Writing operational and technical tests for different research questions. Supervising and observing various admission trips. Written a report in which the operational process and the admission procedure were held against the European and Dutch laws and regulations.

Consultancy

Tromp-Rail BV is asked by several parties to give independent advice. These requests for advice vary from helping to read regulations and specifications to technical detail level in rolling stock.
