Who is Tromp-Rail?

Tromp-rail Bv is an independent assessment and consulting organisation. Founded in February 2016 by Johan Tromp.

Johan Tromp has gained extensive knowledge and experience within the railway world in the field of all subsystems of the rolling stock and in recent years also in parts of the infrastructure.

As a consultant, I made a design proposal for the integration of an ATBL installation in a steam locomotive. The unification of old and new techniques into a functional whole in which both are shown to their full advantage. Advising in making brake curve calculations for locomotives of the railway museum. At the request of Prorail, carrying out research into electric points heating. Investigation after wire break and investigation into the cause of a fire in a cable duct in a tunnel.

ERTMS Pilot Amsterdam Utrecht

Contributed as an ERTMS expert to the ERTMS pilot project Amsterdam Utrecht Responsible for writing the guideline for train drivers. Researching and testing the operational procedures. Writing operational and technical tests for different research questions. Supervising and observing various admission trips. Written a report in which the operational process and the admission procedure were held against the European and Dutch laws and regulations.

Quality and process improvement
