Who is Tromp-Rail?

Tromp-rail Bv is an independent assessment and consulting organisation. Founded in February 2016 by Johan Tromp.

Johan Tromp has gained extensive knowledge and experience within the railway world in the field of all subsystems of the rolling stock and in recent years also in parts of the infrastructure.

ERTMS Pilot Amsterdam Utrecht

Contributed as an ERTMS expert to the ERTMS pilot project Amsterdam Utrecht Responsible for writing the guideline for train drivers. Researching and testing the operational procedures. Writing operational and technical tests for different research questions. Supervising and observing various admission trips. Written a report in which the operational process and the admission procedure were held against the European and Dutch laws and regulations.

Authorisation and Independent safety assessment according to CCS TSI

As Senior assessor, contributed to the testing and approval of various locomotives on the BetuweRoute and HSL. Among others the BR189, G1206, G2000, BR203 and the Windhoff MPV. Writing and executing admission tests on the basis of the ESC

Consultancy

Tromp-Rail BV is asked by several parties to give independent advice. These requests for advice vary from helping to read regulations and specifications to technical detail level in rolling stock.
